| Saturday, May 19 |
| Departure: | From Skip's Restaurant, Chelmsford (map) (Possibly one other departure location) |
| Route: | Follow the "clues" over approximately 200 miles of beautiful New England back roads that have been discovered over 20 years of back-road touring -- beautiful scenery, minimal traffic, all paved, no dirt! Route sheets will be handed out at Skip's the morning of departure. There will be three distinct routes over part of the tour, so don't blindly follow anyone else. If you wish to tour with someone else, let us know so we can assign all parties in the group the same route sheet. Click here for General Route Instructions. |
| En route: | Tour at your own pace. Stop for lunch, to shop, to view the scenery. This is not a TSD rally -- all you need to worry about is not getting lost and showing up in time for the festivities. For those who do get lost, a sealed envelope of bail-out instructions and maps will be provided, but we won't be held accountable for the verbal abuse to which you may be subjected if you show up with an open envelope! |
| Destination: | A beautiful New England country inn in a picturesque New England area. Only your tour masters know the location, so you'll have to trust us to have selected well. You will not be disappointed! You must find it by following the route clues! |
| Upon Arrival: | Cocktail reception and award ceremony for the day's experiences, including a "bent spoke" award, of course. Hors d'ouvres will be supplied. Cash bar. |
| Dinner: | We will share an excellent dinner in our own private dining room at the inn's elegant restaurant. Your tour masters dined there twice recently and the meals and service were both excellent.
The menu will include: your choice of either soup or salad, appetizer of potato encrusted Maine sea scallops, your choice among the three entrees listed below, dessert, and tea or coffee. Any special dietary concerns will be handled at the time of the dinner. Entree choices include- Charbroiled Filet Mignon
- Herb Seared #1 Ahi Tuna
- Smoked Pork Tenderloin
Cash bar.
Dress code: Long pants and collared shirt for men, and women should dress accordingly. |
| After dinner: | Adjourn to the cozy pub at the inn for the remainder of the evening for more socializing. If we're lucky we may be treated to live classical lute music! |
| Sunday, May 20 |
| Breakfast: | Set up just for JANE in the Garden Room (included in room rate). Your tour masters breakfasted there recently and it was as good as the dinners. |
| Departure: | At your leisure, and your own route home. Or stay on another night on your own ($125 for Sunday night). Lots of things to do in the area. |
| Event Costs: | Room including full breakfast: $170 Reception and Dinner: $85 per person Cash Bar Costs include all taxes and gratuities except with respect to bar service
We have past the date where the inn was holding a block of rooms, but if you are interested in joining the list below, contact us soon and rooms may still be available.
Cancellation: Costs are fully refundable if cancellation is earlier than 4 weeks before the event. Meal costs are fully refundable if cancellation is earlier than 2 weeks prior to the event. |
